Part 11 continues last week's trend of giving us many plot points and tons of exposition for many different storylines, and we try to nail them all down in this doozy of an episode!
Notes
Aidan said he was pretty sure "Threnody" was playing in the scene in Buckhorn, but we're now more sure that it's playing in the opening scene with Becky and Shelly...do you know where exactly it's played? Drop us a line!

This week's installment sees the advancement of a few different plotlines: Dougie and Janey-E take their relationship to the next level, we learn more about the Mitchum brothers, and Diane's role gets further complicated. Plus! Constalbert!

"This is the chair."
Part 9 brings everyone back to the present day (maybe?), and picks up the many pieces concerning William Hastings, DoppelCooper, and the Twin Peaks Sheriff's department. Join us as we discuss the increasingly interconnected stories of The Return and go over some of the implications of the revelations that come in this week's episode.

Continuing our discussion from Part 1, Becks and Eeson of Time for Cherry Pie and Coffee joined us at Bickering Peaks for a rousing chat about the evil in those woods...and in Buckhorn, South Dakota...and Las Vegas, Nevada...and New York City. Seems like no corner of the continental United States is safe from the machinations of Mother, BOB, and Mr. C! We also took a round of listener questions, so check out if your question made the cut!
As always, we'd love to hear from you, so please drop us a line on Facebook, Twitter, or via email. And be sure to subscribe to Time for Cherry Pie and Coffee over on their mothership podcast, Time for Cakes and Ale--you can follow them on Twitter (@TFCAA)

"Gotta light?"
Part 8 takes us deep into the mythology of the world of Twin Peaks but with a scope that expands so far beyond the town itself that it might be an afterthought. This is now a battle between good and evil on a cosmic scale that only been hinted at before, and we're seeing it start in real time...all because of a little thing called Trinity.
Make sure you tune in for our crossover episodes with Becks and Eeson of Time for Cakes and Ale for deeper theories about not just this episode but the arc of the season so far! You won't want to miss it.

The Bicks dive right into Part 7 of The Return with a long, hard look at doppelgangers, Diane, Dougie, diners, and dozens of plotlines that all of a sudden seem ready to converge. What's gonna give first: will Dougie-Coop make it onto the national news and spark the interest of someone in Twin Peaks? Will Ben tell someone about the key to room 315 that suddenly showed up at the Great Northern? Will Hawk talk to Audrey or, maybe, Annie?
Notes:
Forgive us our tiredness: Aidan recently had his wisdom teeth out and misspoke a few times, calling Albert "Gordon" and Andy "Harry"...he apologizes profusely for the mistake, and blames the painkillers.

Part 6 of The Return takes us from Las Vegas to Twin Peaks back to Las Vegas as the plot seems to start narrowing in on the stories of "Dougie" in Lancelot Court and those of the residents (new and old) of Twin Peaks. Dougie helps nail down an insurance fraud scheme; Janey-E battles bookies; Carl Rodd makes his forlorn return to our screens.

Part 5 - Case Files.
Our first venture into a weekly one-hour segment of The Return, we found a lot to discuss, consider, and marvel at in this short segment. Aidan waxes philosophical about the unique American-ness of the show, Lindsay marvels at Bob's return to the scene, and we both love the Buckhorn CSI's stand-up material. Between new characters and the returns of some older ones (not to mention some gold shovels), there's plenty to discuss and consider in Part 5 of the new Twin Peaks.
Also, David Lynch's first film is available on YouTube - styled as a home movie: Sailing with Bushnell Keeler.
Lindsay is a writer and junior high school English teacher based in Edmonton, Alberta. In addition to loving Twin Peaks and Shakespeare, she is a big fan of her husband, Aidan, her three cats (Neko, Cooper, and Audrey), teaching, reading and writing, and traveling.
And coffee...you can't forget coffee.
Aidan is a writer and communications professional also based in Edmonton, Alberta. His work has been featured in several different publications, periodicals, and books. When he isn't writing or podcasting, he can usually be found attending to his second love: gaming, with a cat or two at his side.
We met when we were 18. We supported each other through university. We moved in together at and then we got married. We live in the coolest neighbourhood in Edmonton. And we record our podcast in our home office overlooking the North Saskatchewan River Valley.
Our podcast came to life in late 2016 as Bickering Peaks: A Twin Peaks Podcast. In those early days, we spent our time rewatching Twin Peaks and analysing the series in Season One of the podcast.
In Season Two of our show, we applied that same rigour to Twin Peaks: The Return.
Season Three saw us tackle the larger question of series co-creators' David Lynch's and Mark Frost's creative oeuvre.
We decided to take our podcast into vastly different territory for Season Four when we dove headfirst into the works of William Shakespeare.
Our slightly truncated Season Five boldly went where no Bicks have gone before...and we promise we will finish our look at the Star Trek universe soon.
Season Six is our soft reboot — a return to form and hopefully a more regular release schedule. We hope you'll continue to follow along as we tackle the pop culture stuff that strikes our fancy.
